Food For Thought: The term "make love": Sweet and personal, or disgustingly cutesie? That one's been bugging me for years.

to the shock of you all, I'm actually gonna go for sweet and personal. Or at least it could be in certain situations, which occur, I think, more often than those where it could be used in an excessivley cutsie way.

It's actually a bit of a peeve of mine in old rock songs when singers use the term 'love' or 'make love' when they are so obviously talking about pure sex and not much else.


so yeah, that's my borderline prudish statement for the day...

I prefer to corrupt it by taking it really literally, and assuming "love" is actually a euphemism.
